Trivia Night | August 12, 2026
Think you've got what it takes to be a Trivia Champion?
Gather your friends, family, or coworkers and join us for a fun-filled evening in support of the animals at the Alliston & District Humane Society!

For just $10 per person, you'll enjoy a great night of trivia while helping provide food, shelter, and care for the dogs, cats, and bunnies waiting for their forever homes.
There will be a prize for the winning team! Register as a team of 2–6 players, gather your smartest friends and create your dream team!

2027 Calendar Contest Fundraiser
Submissions open August 15th! — Share your pet’s star moment and help save lives while you're at it! — ADHS alumni are extra special, but ALL pets are welcome to enter! There is a registration fee of $5 to enter a photo and that comes with 5 votes. Your family and friends can also vote by donation: $1 = 1 vote. The pet photo with the most votes will win any month of their choice in our printed 2027 calendar as well as a free calendar!
The calendar will also feature a Beloved Fur Babies Memorial Page — reserve a special spot to honour a pet who’s crossed the Rainbow Bridge (limited space available). Calendars will be available for purchase in November 2026, just in time for holiday gifting!

Dog Program Update
This month, our dog program will be running a little differently. Dog meet-and-greets will now be by appointment only, giving potential adopters dedicated one-on-one time with both our adoptable dogs and volunteers in a calmer, less stressful environment.

Our New Cage Sponsorship Program! | On Now
We are thrilled to announce that we are launching a new and exciting cage sponsorship program!
We are partnering with Canada Woodworks to have our sponsorship boards created on beautiful barnboard. These boards will be in full view in the animal area of the shelter and we invite you to come and see your plaques. The purchase of your sponsorship includes a plaque engraved with the message of your choice.
Cage sponsorship for cats (plaques on a communal 20 x 30 board) cost will be $125 annually
Cage sponsorship for dogs (plaques on a communal 20 x 30 board) cost will be $225 annually.
Cage sponsorship for small animals (plaques on a communal 20 x 30 board) cost will be $75 annually.
We are also excited to announce that we will now be offering individual plaques to corporate and legacy donors to be placed on an individual 9x12 barn board. The cost of these will be $500, annually. These are the perfect gift for those who are hard to buy for, or for remembering a loved one in your life. The purchase of your sponsorship includes a plaque engraved with the message of your choice.
